Remote personal identification
Signals, which come from the access control systems, form the primary identification source for IDENTRACE. After this reliable identification IDENTRACE can maintain the identity of tracked people moving around in the building. However, object tracking has inherent uncertainties because of ambiguities due to possible occlusions in rooms where cameras are sparse, or because of the fact that not every room (like restrooms) can be supervised with a CCTV.
In these cases complementary biometric and soft biometric remote identification methods have to be used to ensure the adequate tracking of people. To achieve it, IDENTRACE uses face and ear recognition, body height measurement and clothing color and texture matching.
This technology is integrated in Remote Identification Server (RID).
